Jan Crow

Jan Crow began her career in corrections on April 6, 1978 as a secretary in the main probation office located in the basement of the Henry County Courthouse. She moved to the Burlington probation office in the F&M Bank Building in 1983 and then to the present location in the Peterson Building in 1993. Jan says that when she started 30 years ago, she used a typewriter to type the entire caseload for the office at the beginning of each month. Jan and her husband Ron of 23 years live in New London. They have six children and five grandchildren. Jan likes to cross-stitch and walk. Recently, she participated in her third Breast Cancer walk in Des Moines. She is looking forward to retirement in June of 2008.
